Receive Your Mate - Lesson 1
If you are believing God for you mate, you are to be commended for
wanting to please God and marry the person of His choosing. There
are countless others who marry without any regard to what the Father
wants so I commend you on wanting to please Him.
As stated in another lesson, receiving your mate takes faith. You
will have to release your faith and stand against the physical
circumstances that say otherwise until the prayer is manifested. So
as you stand in faith for God to bring the person He chose for you, here are some jewels of information that may make
it easier.
God Has Already Provided
Understand that God has already
provided everything you’ll ever need to live out your life in this
earth. In His supply, it includes the person He wants you to marry.
You aren’t trying to get something you don’t already have but you are RECEIVING something that has already been provided. God supplied your need for a spouse long before you had
a desire to ask for one.
The person God chose for you is a living, breathing person located
in a particular city and state. God sees him or her and
knows what they will think before it enters their mind. God knows
his or her struggles, dreams and desires. Regardless of whether they
are asking God for a mate, the fact that you are ,is all that
matters. It is all that matters because God only needs one person
between the two of you to release your faith for your marriage.
As you release your faith and begin trusting God to bring you two
together, God will begin working in both your lives to bring it to
pass. Understanding that it’s only a matter of geography and
preparing his or her heart, makes it easier to believe. Along
with your
belief in God’s ability is a factor in seeing it come
to pass.
God's Will Is Not Automatic
Next, understand that the Will of God does not automatically come to
pass. This is important because it means that you share a greater
amount of responsibility for seeing it come to pass than God does.
That’s right. The responsibility of seeing it come to pass is more
in your hands than Gods. God will encourage you; prompt you to
believe for your mate; flood your heart with a strong desire for
marriage; and even provoke you to jealousy but until you release
faith, nothing will happen and nothing will change.
If It Is Taking Too Long
And last, if it’s taking too long to come to pass, you can seek the
Father to find out why. Because if you are believing God for your
mate and something is holding it up, it will continue to hold it up
until you do something about it. So if things aren't progressing, get
into prayer and find out why.
