#1-Question

It Has been 6 years now that I have been believing for the mate, what should I do?

ANSWER

I think 6 years is too long. Along with sustained, active faith remember that if you are dealing with a person, their 'will' is involved and an important part of getting the victory is intercession. God is probably relying on you to turn him or her around. God needs your prayers in order to intervene in your mate's life. But mostly, God needs your faith. If you are interceding for him or her and you are doing it with a heart filled with despair, know that you'll not see any results.

Faith will work without prayer; but prayer won't work without faith. If fact, I would dare to say your faith may have fizzled, if you are experiencing the following symptoms:

You have a heart without hope, only despair Your inner picture of seeing it as already done has been replaced by a heart filled with doubt --not sure it will ever happen. You have a timid stance You gauge your faith by looking at the circumstances You have succumb to weariness, discouragement and desire to quit.

Now if it is going on 6 years, know that God is not teaching you anything, as many would have you believe. There is a reason for this delay. And your single most important job is to find out why.

You have to find out why, just like the disciples did when they couldn't cast the demon out of the young boy. In Matthew 17:19-21, they approached Jesus and asked Him, “why”? And so will you. You need to find out why. Don't let go of God until you do. If you ask and stay with it being RELENTLESS, He will come and answer you. He has given you His Word that He will. Study Jeremiah 33:3, Isa 45:11.

#2-Question

What do I do if she isn't treating me right?

ANSWER

That's why I recommend you always get your confirmations. Because when trouble comes and if you aren't sure she is sent by God, you'll be tossed to and fro not knowing if you should stand your ground by fighting the good fight of faith or walk away. Because if you aren't sure that this person is sent by God, your position will change moment to moment. When things are going well, you'll think the person is from God. But when things are not going well, you'll think that he or she isn't. So the secret to peace in the situation is knowing this person is the will of God for you.

When you are sure, you take their actions and behavior to God. God put you together let Him work it out. It is not to say you do nothing but wait on God. It means you are praying, confessing the Word over them so they can see the light of God's gospel. As you ask God to send laborers across their path, and they hear the Word, God has opportunity to deal with their heart. Once they have a better relationship with God, they will want to do better. The bible says God knows how to deliver. God and His Word can deal with this person a lot better than you can.

#3-Question

What if he is seeing someone else, has this happened to you?

ANSWER

Yes, in the beginning when God had only revealed it to me, I was excited because I thought it would be a fairytale experience. It didn't work out that way. Because he didn't know who I was, I had to watch him date someone else. One evening I attended an event and I spotted him with a young lady. I was upset and tried to avoid seeing them as much as possible but as the evening progressed, I distinctly heard God say, “look at him”.

I didn't want to because this situation was exactly the opposite of what God told me. I even questioned if I was hearing correctly, yet I obeyed. But as I looked at him, I felt the grieving from the Holy Spirit in my spirit rise from within me then compassion overwhelmed my heart.

Because of what the Holyspirit did, it helped boost my faith. I saw a young man that had a very sad countenance. It looked like he was going through something. The compassion I felt helped me to look at the situation that stood before me and fight the good fight of faith for what God said.

That night upon returning home, my intercession was much stronger and more fervent. What the Lord had done was help me wage war in the spiritual realm for him more strongly and more intently.

Soon after I heard that they broke up. I think that strong prayer of intercession pushed it over. So what satan meant for harm, God worked it for my good. Therefore, If this is happening to you, don't just rely on intercession. Work your faith first, because it is by faith we receive. Then as you intercede, you are doing it from a position of faith without pleading with God to change him or her.
