The keys of the kingdom

by Victoria Thornton   -   FindingGodsWill.com

And I will give unto thee the Keys of the Kingdom of Heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
Matthew 16:19

"You Have Been Given the KEYS OF THE KINGDOM to Allow The Things That Are God's Will And Disallowed The Things That Aren't."

Do you sometimes feel that the door to marrying the person of God’s choosing is hidden or lock away from you? Are you finding the door to matrimony a door that you can't SEEM to unlock?

If you feel that way now, know that it doesn't have to stay that way. Because the reason why you feel discouraged and are carrying a picture of despair is because you have been hit by a fiery dart from the enemy and he has captured your heart and mind.

Know for a fact that you have the keys to unlock the door of a Godly marriage, healing, financial health, etc. And right now, Jesus is expecting you to use the keys of the kingdom to retrieve the things you need. With his help and your faith, there is not a door that you can't unlock, open and enter in.

Why has God given you the keys?
God has given you the keys of the kingdom to make the things, which He has already given you, an experience in your life. God has given you the keys to enforce what Jesus has redeemed you from when He went to the Cross.

Therefore, knowing that you have the keys and knowing how to use them will set you free from your discouraging thoughts. When Jesus taught his disciples to pray in John 15, he prayed that God's kingdom come; His Will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

And by the finished work of Jesus, which He accomplished for you on the Cross, you can now allow the things that are God's Will and disallowed the things that aren't.

So what have you been doing with the keys?
Have you been using them? Putting them to work for you? But before we list some of the keys of the kingdom, let's examine how have you been approaching the Father?

Have you been approaching Him as an heir and joint-heir with Christ or have you been approaching Him as a beggar? Have you been coming to God from the perspective of an Old Testament saint or New Testament believer?

These are some questions you ought to ask yourself, especially if, you have not made any progress in this area.

Coming to God as a Beggar

Are you constantly asking God for the same thing over and over and over again? Do you find yourself pleading with God, often whining that God isn't moving fast enough? Do you catch yourself making deals with God that if He would send your mate you would attend Church regularly? If you are doing these things, STOP.

The Bible says we ought to ask in faith, nothing wavering. You should be coming to God as a joint-heir with Christ knowing that the Father knows whatever you have need of. That we are to do what the Bible says to do which is to 'ask and receive that our joy be made full'. That because we are seated together with Christ that it is but a small thing to receive what we have need of.

Have You Been Approaching God from an Old Testament or New Testament Perspective?

Old Testament believers were looking for the day that the Savior would come. As a result, they relied on God's goodness and trust in God that He was able to keep His Word. Therefore, when they asked Him for anything, they relied on the kindness and character of God.

But as New Testament saints God has come and redeemed us. So much so that we have been delivered from the kingdom of darkness and translated into the kingdom of His dear Son. Jesus has already come whereby God has kept His Word and fulfilled His part of the contract.

With the covenant in hand, backed by the finished work in Christ, we are to more-so give thanks than to constantly petition heaven. We are to give thanks because of what God has done.

In the New Testament, the promises of God are more a fact than a promise. God has already given us all things that pertain to life and godliness (2Peter 1:3). God has already blessed us with all spiritual blessing in heavenly places in Christ Jesus (Ephesians 1:3). He has already done these things for us.

Therefore, the marriage you desire and the mate you seek, falls under the umbrella of life and godliness. As a result, set yourself in agreement with heaven that it is past tense.

So there is no need to beg God because from God's perspective everything you need is seen as past tense in Christ.

Consequently, the asking and receiving can be as short as a two-minute prayer. Yet delay can occur in the experiential side of things simply because we have an enemy to contend with which is why the keys of the kingdom are so important.

Here Are The Keys God Has Given You

SPIRITUAL AUTHORITY
God has given you authority over the devil and all his works. Whether he comes to attack you through your circumstance or your emotions, you have authority to cast him out.

The Name of Jesus
The name a Jesus is another powerful tool to use against the enemy trying to deny you of what God has already given you. Therefore use the name of Jesus against all the works of the enemy and all circumstances that don't line up with the Word of God.
